Art therapy isn’t about being artistic its about unlocking feelings and releasing emotions. Much of what we process is stored in our minds as images so using art rather than words is a great way to unlock emotions that may be too hard to express verbally in a safe environment. Of course some people who use art therapy are artistic but you don’t have to be creative to do art therapy.
